Great things are happening in the area, so come on out and show your support to the community. As a last minute note, there will be a special dinner to raise funds in support of an “After Prom Party” for this year’s seniors (details to be announced).

April 10th – CASA’s Flag Raising Ceremony will be at noon at the VBC Courthouse on the square. Join County Judge Roger Hooper, Debra Lance and others from the Children’s Advocacy Alliance to show support for the children of abuse. Music will be provided by the CHS Band & hotdogs will be served.

April 12th – “Be A Hero” Annual Ride for Life – 1 to 9 PM, Pine Grove Trails near Leslie, AR. Both equestrian members & riders will join together and play games, enjoy entertainment & earn prizes while raising money to help fight an on-going battle against cancer. April 15th – “Two Kidd’s Kreations & Occasions” Ribbon Cutting at 10 AM, 358 Main Street in Clinton. Stop by for cake and a beverage, then check out all the wedding gowns, custom jewelry & more, plus photography & event planning of all kinds. Call Kelly at 501-757-2547 for more information.

April 17th – “Sunsations Tanning Salon” Ribbon Cutting at 2pm, 296 Ingram St in Clinton, across from Deb’s Fashion. They have a variety of tanning beds in 3 different levels, also a stand up bed, a red light therapy with collagen and bronzing bulbs bed, and offer spray tanning. They also sell tanning lotions, Yellowbox flip flops, swim wear, floppy beach hats, plus they have 3 Norvell certified spray technicians for our spray tanning. April 18th – Ozark Health Foundation Health Fair. For booth information or more details contact Carla (501) 745-9569. This is a free event for the public and runs from 8 AM to 1 PM at Archey Fork Park. The Chamber will have a booth, so stop by and say hi.

May 13th – The Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce is establishing the “Adrianne Wilbers Small Business Grant” to further Adrianne’s vision of continual support for small businesses in Van Buren County.

This Grant will initially be funded by a pie auction to be held May 13th beginning at 6 PM in the Clinton HS Cafeteria. The pie auction will also provide an opportunity to “Meet the Candidates.” So, dig out your favorite pie recipes and be watching for more details.
