January 16th – An Army Representative will meet the family of U.S. Cpl C.G. Bolden. A short time after, a full military escort will accompany Cpl Bolden from Little Rock to the Clinton Cemetery.

Last week’s VBC Democrat ran the story of how after 63 years the missing veteran will be coming home. D.L. Webb has been asked to organize a welcome home parade with local escorts to help honor this man’s service and sacrifice. No definitive date or specific route has been given for the parade, but he is hoping it will follow 65 to 65-B, to Griggs Street, past the Courthouse, up Main Street, back to 65-B, then to the Clinton Cemetery. There may be a very short notice as to when all this will happen, but please do your best to notify others about the upcoming event. The Chamber will send out an email as soon as we get the details, and the paper will also send a notice, so please be watching for it. We would love to see cars & people all along Hwy 65 South into Clinton showing support for the family.
