Yes, Summer has returned and what a beautiful summer it is!

The Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome its newest members – the Scotland Community Senior Center, the Serenity Ridge Recovery Program & We Love VBC.

August 5th – Two Kidds Kreations announced the program “Around the World in 80 Days” begins today & will continue until October 23rd. Stop by and see Kelli to get your passport & start filling it up with 20 stamps from around the world and receive a free jewelry item. Each purchase of $10.00 gets you a stamp for your passport. August 6th – “Summer Fun” is a free children’s workshop being held at The Dirty Farmers Community Market on Wednesday, August 6th beginning at 4:00 pm. This workshop is open to the public, no need to register, just show up. They will be making crafts, a story time and a snack. For more information call 501-253-4716.

August 8thFree Movie Night & Fire Safety Class at the Clinton Fire Department continues this week & every Friday night in August. This week’s movie will be Despicable Me 2 following the fire safety class & will be shown on a 16 foot by 20 foot outdoor screen starting about 7:30 PM. The fire department will be selling drinks & popcorn for a dollar each, so bring your lawn chairs, blankets and the whole family for a fun night at the movies!

August 13th – Ribbon Cutting ceremony for new chamber member American Home Pharmacy located in the CashSaver Grocery store. The event will begin at 10 AM, so stop by and learn more about their services.

August 16th2nd Annual Harvest Pageant & Picnic. The Dirty Farmers Market’s pageant & picnic at Morgan Park in downtown Clinton begins at 4 PM. Contact The Dirty Farmers Market, 364 Main Street in Clinton for more information.

August 23rd – The “We Love VBC” Guinness World Record for Largest Potluck Party. Help set the Guinness World Record for the largest potluck party by bringing one dish per person to the Clinton High School Arena beginning at 10:30 AM. The Survivorfest program & games begins at 2 PM & will be held at City Park after the potluck. The event is free & open to all ages.
