January 26th – Clinton Chamber of Commerce General Meeting, “Taking Time Out to Further Your Success” series kicks off on Monday the 26th of January beginning at 6 PM & will be held at the Petit Jean Community Room. This month’s program will provide an opportunity to meet your new Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors & new Chamber Members since our last meeting. In addition, we will have two speakers who will present their vision for Clinton and the County; new Clinton Mayor Richard McCormac and VBC Judge Roger Hooper. All this, plus an opportunity for networking; these programs are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available, so please RSVP to the Chamber.

January 28th – Vonda Crocker, local author & Chamber Member will be signing her book “Home Fires Burning” which chronicles thirty-four years as an Army wife. It is a factual account of the times from “old Army” pre Vietnam through the end of the millennium. Vonda will be at the Dirty Farmers Community Market signing books from 11-2 on Wednesday, January 28th.

January 29th – Town Hall meeting for We Love VBC is scheduled for Thursday, January 29th beginning at 6:00 pm at the airport in Clinton. This meeting is free and open to the public. For more information call, Jackie Sikes 501-253-4716.

Plans are underway for the funeral and procession honoring U.S. Cpl C.G. Bolden & escorting him to the Clinton Cemetery. The funeral is scheduled for February 21st at the high school auditorium beginning at 11 AM. The parade is being outlined & will be announced soon. When we know details I’ll send an email, plus watch for notices on Facebook. Thank you in advance for all the support.

Ozark Health Foundation starting an Alzheimer’s support group that will meet on the first Wednesday of each month beginning February the 4th at 2 PM. The meeting will be in the Ozark Health Board Room. For more information, contact D.K. Olmstead at 745-9495 or Debra Lance at 745-9547.
