Chamber Newsletter / Previous page

I want to thank everyone for attending the 1st 2015 Chamber Meeting last night! And, I especially want to thank Clinton Mayor, Richard McCormac; Fairfield Bay Mayor, Paul Wellenberger; VBC Judge Roger Hooper and Clinton Fire Chief, DL Webb for their insights & vision about the new growth potential for the whole of VBC. This is a great time to be involved and living in VBC!

Meet New Chamber Member Michele Cross, owner of The Bookworm, located at 1303 Hwy 65 South, in the Roger Heights Shopping Center, Suite#8 (behind KFC) in Clinton. Michele feels very fortunate and blessed to be in business for 10 years doing what she loves to do. Join her & the Chamber of Commerce in celebrating her 10 year anniversary on February 10th at 11:30 with a ribbon Cutting.

Michele has had customers with her since she opened, as well as many new customers along the way. She feels that talking about books is like talking about a best friend. She keeps a discount table that starts at .25c and goes up to $4.00. There are special prices for hardbacks, fiction, romance & paperbacks. Michele says that a customer’s best bargain is always is to bring your books in for store credit, that way when you buy your paperbacks half the cost comes off your store credit – sort of like a pay-it-forward book exchange program where she always gives you the same 25% book credit no matter where the book came from. The bookstore takes debit, credit , cash or checks. “Thank you everyone for making my first 10 years great,” says Michele. Call the Bookworm at at (501) 745-2754.
