March 3rd – Clinton Chamber Banquet – Still time to purchase tickets for a fun night of good food, awards, recognition, a silent auction & a great presentation, “Turning Boos Into Cheers”. Our speaker, Walt Coleman is an Official for the National Football League – he is a referee and wears the number 65 on his shirt. He knows about being applauded by hundreds & booed by millions & has been in practically every home in America via television during football season! He’s also married with two children & is an executive with Hiland Dairy in Little Rock. His presentations are as lively as his refereeing on the field – you don’t want to miss this one!

A partial list of items to be auctioned off include an Arthur Court College Razorback Glasses set donated by Faye’s Diamond Mine; a beautiful gift basket donated by Main Street Florists; a Pecan Pie baked by Lacy Standridge; two tickets to the Conway Symphony Orchestra’s presentation “Musical Pearls” in April donated by 1st Security Bank, a signed Clinton Basketball game ball, to name just a few. There’s still time for your business to be listed in all advertizing for contributing items to the silent auction. Contact the Chamber for more information or to reserve your tickets at 745-6500. February 24th – After Prom Pie Supper & Auction at the Clinton High School beginning at 5:30 PM. Hastings Chicken dinner plus pie is $8; raffle tickets are also on sale for $1 each or 6 for $5. Proceeds benefit the After Prom Party. Call Karla Fultz at 253-5590 for details.

February 26th – We Love VBC will host a Wayfinding Charrette with The University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Services Breakthrough Solutions group headed by Mark Peterson and Team Cromwell. This meeting is to discuss signage for our community; it is free and open to the public. We will meet at the airport for a light dinner at 5:30; a video presentation will begin at 6:00. February 27th – Empty Bowls Supper Clinton High School’s ART, EAST and FACS departments are hosting a fundraiser for the local food banks. The supper will take place from 5:30-7:00 in the CHS FACS room (look for signs). Donate $5.00 or more and receive a bowl of soup, bread from Serenity Farms, dessert and a drink. Select a handmade bowl of your choice, made by Clinton art students, and keep the bowl! ALL proceeds go the food banks. For further information contact Carol Corning at corningc@clinton.k12.ar.us.

March 2nd – Relay for Life Planning Meeting to be held at the Petit Jean Community Room beginning at 5:15 PM. The organizing team is looking for volunteers to help with the programs & will continue to meet the 1st Monday of each month. For details contact Terry Drew at 501/745-2493

The Dirty Farmers Market has announced that every Saturday from April till November, a Market will be set up in City Park & are encouraging farmers & crafters to join them for this open market concept.
