April 10th – The 2nd Annual Van Buren County Health & Wellness Fair sponsored by Ozark Health will be held at the V.B. County Fair Grounds on Friday, April 10, 2015 (rain or shine) from 8:00am – 1:00pm. Free lunch beginning at 10:30, Live entertainment, free health screenings, Easter Egg hunt at 11:30, bingo, activities for the whole family and consult with a wide variety of health care professionals. April 11th – Chasing The Dream, Color Revitalization Fun Run Registration is 8 AM, the race begins at 9 AM on the 11th downtown on the Square. Entry fee: $30 adults. $5 – 10 for children & group rates are available. This is a 5K fun walk/run, plus shorter races for younger participants. All proceeds to benefit Downtown Revitalization project and is sponsored by the Clinton EAST Lab & We Love VBC. April 11th – Ozark Health & South Side School FFA Trap Shoot to be held at the South Side FFA Barn, Old Gin Road in Bee Branch. Check in begins at 9 AM with shoot beginning at 10 AM. There will be 50 shot round, a JR division (grades 6-8), SR division (grades 9-12) & Open division (any age). Individual awards, best shooting squad and a $500 cash award for best overall shooter. April 11th – 1st Annual Project Surge Crawfish Feast will be held at the Van Buren County Fair Grounds beginning at 6 PM. There will be family fun, live music, games, dancing and great food. Admittance is a $10 donation, which will benefit the homeless & domestic violence survivors. Ribs, jambalaya & hotdogs will also be available for an additional cost. April 17–19th – The Clinton High School Theatre Department is putting on the musical, Bye Bye Bye Birdie for their spring play this year. Grab your poodle skirts and bobby socks and travel back in time with the Clinton High School drama students to 1958 as they bid farewell to teen heart-throb Conrad Birdie as he is drafted into the army in their spring musical, Bye Bye Birdie! Showtime is at 7 pm on Friday, and Saturday, with a 2 pm matinee on Sunday, April 19th. Admission is $5.00 for all ages.

April 18th – Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser – For the Relay for Life Program sponsored by Petit Jean Electric. The breakfast will include pancakes, sausage patty, coffee or milk all for only $5 ($6 at the door). The hours are from 8 AM to 11 AM, all proceeds benefit the Relay for Life program. April 19th – Ribbon Cutting and party for new Chamber Member Cornerstone Cakes beginning at 1 PM. They will have fun activities, hot dogs, drinks and of course CAKE! Cornerstone Cakes certified cake designer, Szana Comegys will also offer up a special cake that will be raffled off! Cornerstone Cakes is located at 476 Fraser ST in Clinton (by the high school). Stepping Up for Youth 5K Run – has been rescheduled from April 18th to May 16th beginning at 9 AM downtown Clinton. THUGS (Teens Having United Goals) in the Clinton, Shirley, and South Side school districts set examples for their peers to encourage an alcohol, drug, and tobacco free lifestyle. Proceeds from this 5K will go towards the yearly Youth Summit event. At this event, THUGS enjoy a day of interacting with other students, guest speakers, activities and games that are focused on drug, alcohol, and tobacco free life choices.
