August 29th – Last Free Movie Night & Fire Safety Program at the Clinton Fire Department this Friday night with the showing of “Frozen.” Bring your lawn chairs & blankets & enjoy a movie night out with the whole family. The 29th Annual Chuckwagon Races are here! Watch for the barrel racing clinic, team sorting clinic, trail rides, horse & mule sale and the main races begin August 29th The concert lineup includes Chris Cagle, Reckless Felly, Sammy Kershaw and the Sons of the Pioneers. August 27 – 30th Cowboy Catfish Supper 5 to 7 PM at the Clinton Senior Center, 311 Yellowjacket Lane in Clinton. The supper is the VBC Aging Program fundraiser that benefits the Meals On Wheels program. Come out and enjoy a great meal for just $10 for adults & $5 for children under 12.

September 2nd – Ribbon Cutting for new member Leslie Barnett owner of “Cradle to College” boutique at 11:30 AM. Her location is 210 Griggs street, across from the Courthouse. Stop by and welcome her to Clinton, everyone is invited.

September 6th – Storytime begins at the VBC Library at 1 PM and continues each Saturday afternoon. Call the library at 745-2100 for details.

September 8th – Serenity Ridge Recovery is offering a free study of the 12 steps using Bible scripture along with the steps. It will start Monday, September 8th at 6:00 PM at 166 Third Street in Clinton. September 8th – VBC Fair commercial booth set up from 9 AM to 5 PM. Daily events in the GW building begin on Tuesday, September 9th with free admission at 1 PM. Wednesday thru Saturday, admission is $2 for 13 years and older (under 12 – free). Commercial Building opens from 4 PM to 9 PM & Saturday from noon to 9 PM. September 9 – 11th – The FFB Education Center will be offering a three day art class and will meet on Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. to Noon and Thursday afternoon from 1 – 4 p.m. The tuition cost for the class is $40.00 with an additional $10 supply fee. September 16th – “Taking Time Out To Further Your Success Program” Sponsored by the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce – These programs are designed to help all of us learn and grow our community. Please make plans to join us at the Petit Jean Community Room and help support the Chamber’s programs. These programs are free and open to the general public.

September 17th – Faye’s Diamond Mine is having a “Colored Gemstone Show” with amazing, brilliant gemstones from all over the world, for just one day. People can enjoy looking through the collection of specially cut gems and learn fascinating facts. Gemstones will be available for sale.
