Getting Closer & Closer to the Chili Cook-off time! 7th Annual Chili Cook-off is October 4th! Gates open at noon and the $5 adults, 6-12 years, $2 & 5 and under, free. Admission includes all day & evening activities, plus bowls & bowls of chili, visit all the vendors, fun for the children; music begins at 1 to 4 PM from the Buffalo River Blues Band competition, and music by the Groove Injectors Band and the Family Dog Band, so we can dance till we drop! Sept 20th – 1st Annual Clinton Girls Power Puff Football Tournament, 5 to 8 PM at Clinton High School’s Tumbleson Football Field. Girls’ grades 9-12 will compete against each other. Everyone is encouraged to come out and watch. $2 admission benefits the After-Prom Party and concession will also be available.

September 23rd – “Birds in a Changing Climate” The Little Red River Audubon Society presents speaker Dr. Dan Scheiman speaking about research that shows the most immediate and significant threat to the future existence of birds in North America. October 4th – 5th Annual “Shop with A Cop” Golf Tournament, hosted by the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department at Mountain Ranch Golf Club in Fairfield Bay, AR begins at 8:30 AM. October 4th –”The 4th Annual Redneck Games of Arkansas (TM)”, from 8 to 5 at the Van Buren County Fairgrounds on Hwy 16 East. Admission is $5 per head, kids under 10 FREE and FREE parking! The Moses Tucker Band from Gravel Ridge, AR will be returning to host and M/C the Event all day.
