First Service Bank located at 486 Highway 65 North Clinton has been serving this area for the past 19 years, but carries a tradition of providing first class service since the sixties. It began as First Community Bank of South East Arkansas but due to expansion their name was changed to better suit their markets and to show their commitment to service. In 1998 Tom Grumbles started the expansion process by introducing his bank to the Greenbrier and Faulkner County markets, when some local citizens approached Mr. Grumbles about opening a location in Clinton. At first, any expansion beyond the Greenbrier branch seemed only a thing of the future; but with the backing of some motivated citizens, First Service Bank in Clinton opened its temporary branch in the fall of 1998 and its current location 4th of July weekend 1999.

First Service Bank in Clinton is led by market president Darla McJunkins. With the bank’s focus on customer service and community involvement, Mrs. McJunkins is leading by example. Darla is currently on the board of Van Buren County Special School, 4H, Clinton Public School Board, secretary of R5 Rodeo, and is an active member in the Cattleman’s Association and Economic Advisory Board for Arch Ford Education Service Cooperative. With such dedication from their market president, it is obvious why it’s not hard to find a First Service Bank employee volunteering at an event near you.

With a wide range of products from commercial, residential, personal, and long term financing loans to C.Ds, safety deposit boxes, savings, business checking, and personal checking accounts, Darla believes what sets them apart is their customer service, with loan staff on hand six days a week and banking hours from 7 am to 9 pm. First Service Bank has a local board making local decisions and Darla says it is easy for her employees to treat our community like home and their customers like neighbors because they are.
