October 6th, 2012 on the Courthouse Square
The contestant will need to provide:
* 3 gallons of chili–at least. (Meat can be prepared prior to event)
* A source of heat to cook chili, there is limited amount of electricity.
* Cooking and serving utensils (including spoons and bowls)
* Napkins
* Canopy for outside cooking
* Table and decorations (Decorating your booth does not increase your
chances of winning the Chili cookoff, there will be a separate contest
for this, which is optional.)
Set up time for contestants starts at 9:00 am
* The contestants will be judged and award offered for top 3.
* There will be a People’s Choice award again this year.
There are three entry fee categories this year. The entry fee for an individual team is $100.00. The entry fee for a non-profit group is also $100.00. The entry fee for a business team is $200.00. A business team may promote their business by using signs, banners, and handing out promotional items. Each team (individual or business) may consist of up to 3 people. Each additional team member will be charged for a $5 armband.
No Outside Food or Drinks! Drinks will be sold on site.
Contestants may bring drinks for themselves.
Judging for the Chili and Booth Decorations will be at 11:30 am. Set up at 9:00am and Gates will open to the public at 12:00 pm.
Applications are being taken now and should be submitted by September 24th, 2010, and can be picked up at the Chamber office or call 745-6500 and we can fax one to you. Booth numbers will be assigned in the order the applications are received. Please make checks payable to Clinton Chamber of Commerce.
During the Chili Cookoff we will also be having a Jalapeno Eating contest. There is no entry fee for this, but contestants must be at least 18 years of age and will be asked to sign a medical release form.
Whoever eats the most Jalapeno’s in 1 minute (without throwing up or quitting) WINS!

Craft Fair October 1st on the Courthouse Square Entry Fee to have a booth at the craft fair is $15 for Chamber members and $25 for non members. The Craft Fair is from 9am til whenever. For an application or more information, please call the Kathy at the Chamber 745-6500.
