Have you noticed the crowds at the park lately? Girl’s softball is in full swing and bringing folks to town. Want to help out? They are still needing a few volunteers to man the concession stand, especially this weekend. Show your pride and volunteer wearing your company logo & let people know Clinton is an involved community. Call Shannon at 501-654-4096 for more information. This week’s game schedule begins Thursday at 6 PM; Guy, Mountain View & Greenbrier teams play Clinton. This weekend is tournament play starting Friday evening & continuing on Saturday. Remember not only are teams coming to town, so are their parents, friends & family.

Wednesday, May 7th – The Dirty Farmers Market will present a video about branding a community, this video has been provided by The University of Arkansas Extension office, in efforts to kick off the brand VBC/Clinton program. For details, contact Jackie at 253-4716. May 13th, at 3 PM, artist from LR will discuss their ideas on public art at the Two Kidds Creations & Occasions, 358 Main St.

Thursday May 8th – Clinton School Talent Show for grades 7 thru 12, beginning at 7 PM at the Clinton Schools Auditorium. Ticket can be bought at the door for $2 and all proceeds benefit the Clinton School Migrant Program. Contact Sandie Jones, CHS East Facilitator at 501-745-6060 for details.

May 5th through May 19th – Early voting at the VBC Courthouse Annex, 1414 Hwy 65 South. For details on candidate races, check the VBC Democrat, April 30th edition.

Deb’s Fashions is expanding her market to Marshall & will be taking some merchandise to Marshall on Fridays to Linda’s Closet, located right off hwy. 65. Plus this week at the Clinton store, all ladies tops are priced at just $12.99 – stop in and check it out.

Tuesday, May 13th Pie Auction Fund Raiser – This event is open to the public and begins at 6 PM in the Clinton High School cafeteria, you’ll want to get there early to bid on your favorite such as fresh strawberry pie, or how about a chocolate peanut butter pie or a coconut cream pie. Plus, some very special deserts will also be featured during the evening! Coffee & tea will also be available.

In addition to the pie auction, this will be about the last opportunity to meet some of the candidates, plus meet nationally know artists Pat & Tracee Matthews, who are consultants from Little Rock & visiting Clinton. This event replaces the Chamber’s quarterly meeting, but the opportunity to network will not be missed.

The response has been very heart-warming, and I know that it’s because of the respect and love this community has for Adrianne Wilbers! It’s not too late to participate, just give the Chamber a call to let us know what you are bringing on Tuesday. And, invite your neighbors!
