New Addition to Clinton City Park / Previous page

City Councilman Sammy Ward has worked for two years to add military equipment to Clinton’s City Park and with the help of Scott Bramlett, VFW State Commander from 2014 – 2015, Choctaw VFW Member Bill Wells, and Clinton Mayor, Richard McCormac. A 1943 World War ll, big gun has been set up by the War Memorial Sculpture in Clinton City Park, across from Backyard Antiques. The gun is on loan indefinitely to the City of Clinton by the Choctaw VFW.

It’s not known what kind of big gun this is – anyone that can help identify more details on the gun please contact Sammy Ward at 745-2654, Clinton Mayor Richard McCormac 745-8110 or the Chamber of Commerce at 745-6500.
