The escort will arrive from Little Rock around 12:15pm. Everyone is encouraged to make a show of respect & support by lining Highway 65 from Conway to the destination at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton. Please join in the small gesture to honor such great bravery & sacrifice.

2/17 Update:

All Fire, Law Enforcement, School Leaders, ect. that are going to participate in the CG Bolden services on Thursday and Saturday:
There will be a final planning meeting at the Clinton downtown Fire Station Wednesday the 18th at 5:30. We will briefly going through staging assignments, pass out 2way radios, and answer any questions that you may have. If you have any immediate concerns please get in contact with DL Webb or Jeana Williams. Thanks for your support in bringing home one of our own heroes.

2/9 Update:

The transit from Little Rock to Clinton is confirmed for the afternoon of Thursday, February 19. Fire Chief Webb will update as Cpl. Bolden’s escort proceeds to Roller McNutt Funeral Home. Everyone along the route in Van Buren County is encouraged to show their respect as the entourage passes into Clinton.

The funeral is still taking place on Saturday, February 21 and the procession will begin at 10:30am at Roller McNutt. The procession will pass through downtown Clinton, with the visitation at the Clinton High School Auditorium at 11:00. At 1:00pm the escort will continue to the Clinton Cemetery (behind the Fire Station downtown) where the Corporal’s remains will be laid to rest with full military honors.

2/5 Update:

Fire Chief DL Webb has asked that everyone wanting to be involved in the February 21 homecoming of Corporal Bolden to join an informational meeting at the Clinton Fire Station on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 1pm. Please share this news with as many as possible in Clinton & the surrounding communities. We are very hopeful about getting everyone on the same page in this very important event to honor Corporal Bolden & his family.

Homecoming for Corporal Bolden

Plans are underway for the funeral and procession honoring U.S. Cpl C.G. Bolden. Corporal Bolden’s remains have been returned to his family 63 years after his service in the Korean conflict. Everyone in the community is encouraged to come and pay their respects.

D.L. Webb will be organizing a welcome procession in honor of this man’s service. The parade is being outlined & will be announced soon. The tentative route will follow 65 to 65-B, to Griggs Street, past the Courthouse, up Main Street, back to 65-B, then to the Clinton Cemetery. There are plans for an Army representative to meet the Corporal’s family and provide them a full military escort to the Clinton Cemetery.
The funeral will take place at the Clinton High School auditorium beginning at 11 AM.

Senator Tom Cotton will attend, along with a number of government representatives, as well as members of the Patriot Guard, Daughters of the American Revolution, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and many media outlets.
