Scare on the Square Update / Previous page

Once again the Clinton volunteer fire department will be sponsoring a haunted house & safe trick-or-treating downtown on the square. Last year was a huge success thanks to everyone who helped hand out candy & goodies on the square.

This year, the VBC Special School & Lakeside Learning Center will also set up an additional haunted house for the smaller children in the former Cannaday office space on the square. And, Gray C. Photography & The Style Child boutique (on 65B) will also take pictures of the kids & offer goodies. So, plenty for the children to do. And, perhaps a few other last minute surprises!

Several people representing different businesses asked if there was a way to help monitor the candy flow – so the idea was born to give out tickets to the kids (for free). The child presents a ticket to each candy table for their treats. If we have 20 tables giving out treats, then the child will receive 20 tickets, and so on.

No one is required to give out candy for a ticket – this is up to each table, but most feel this is will be helpful.

If you or your business would like to set up & give out candy or goodies, please let the Chamber know, so we can be prepared.

Activities will begin about 5:30 on the 31st.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Trish Childers, Executive Director
